GNUHQ · UPDATED OCTOBER 23, 2026

Clear terms.
Room to build.

These terms cover the gnuHQ website, accounts, hosted updater and support service.

The current service

gnuHQ is an independent premium software catalog. Product listings are previews unless a page explicitly identifies a published downloadable release. Reference versions, artwork and feature descriptions do not mean that gnuHQ holds a package or that a current vendor version is available here. Included components are confirmed only after package inspection and publication.

Accounts and approval

Use an email you control and keep your password, recovery code and updater keys private. You are responsible for activity through your account and websites you connect. A membership request does not activate itself: the owner must approve complimentary access. gnuHQ may suspend service access to investigate abuse or compromised credentials; use support to ask for review.

Payments remain off

Current memberships are complimentary and require owner approval. No payment, recurring charge or paid invoice is created. Prices shown on the pricing page describe possible future billing. Any future purchase or subscription will require a separate, explicit checkout decision; an existing complimentary account does not authorize a charge.

Domain limits and expiry

Starter allows three connected updater domains, Pro ten, and Agency fifty. Lifetime has no fixed domain limit or membership expiry for as long as gnuHQ operates. Pending and verified production domains reserve slots. www and non-www share one slot; separate production subdomains use separate slots. Disconnecting a domain revokes its keys and frees its slot. An owner may exempt a verified public staging site. Annual access expires at the date shown in the account.

Software and updates

The updater returns matching releases only when a membership is active, the site is verified, its key is valid and a package has been published. gnuHQ does not promise a particular release date, product or continuous supply of vendor updates. Keep your own site backups before installing software. Expiry or suspension stops new hosted downloads and updates; gnuHQ does not remotely remove files already downloaded.

Individual software licenses and included notices govern the software itself, including any rights to use, modify or redistribute it. These hosted-service terms do not replace those licenses. A gnuHQ membership does not include original-developer activation keys, vendor cloud services, template-library accounts, author support or third-party subscriptions unless a product explicitly says otherwise. gnuHQ is not affiliated with the original developers.

Acceptable use

Connect only websites you control or are authorized to manage. Do not use another customer’s credentials, bypass hosted-service limits, attack the service, upload malicious content, or use support forms to send spam. The owner reviews account restrictions through support.

Support and service changes

Use the contact form for account, membership, updater or privacy help. Include a public domain and error message where relevant; never send credentials or software files. Support addresses the gnuHQ service rather than the original developer’s paid services. Features and availability can change as the library develops. No current lifetime or annual complimentary grant creates a payment obligation.

Privacy and contact

Our privacy notice describes account, support, updater and operational data. Contact gnuHQ through the form to report a catalog correction, request account closure or raise a concern about these terms.
